PSBA-Manila Graduate School of Business (GSB) held its 2021 GSB Student Orientation 2021


October 16, 2021 – The Graduate School of Business (GSB) held its 2021 GSB Student Orientation via Zoom, from 11:AM-1:35PM. The event was attended by graduate students, both local and foreign, faculty members, staff and other invited guests. There were around 80 participants who attended the online student orientation.

Prof. Dr. Tabassam Raza, Associate Dean, GSB & Director Research Center and DRM Unit, PSBA-Manila introduced the Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Unit of the GSB through his lecture entitled “Disaster Management Policy Enhancement”. In his lecture, Prof. Dr. Raza shared the School DRM Policy, Fire and Earthquake Emergency Exit and Evacuation Plan including Shake Drill previously conducted by the school.

Among the invited was the guest speaker, Mr. James Osorio Fantone, a Filipino trainer, consultant, and business educator. Mr. Fantone shared his insights on Business Continuity during COVID-19 Uncertainty. The topic was indeed interesting and intrigued the participants to give their comments and thoughts as well as ask questions as far as business continuity is concerned in this times of uncertainty.

The event also served as a platform to introduce the current GSB Student Association leaders and to announce the upcoming elections to elect new leaders. The GSB students gave their insightful comments in the chat box of which some were responded to by Prof. Dr. Raza. Overall, this year’s GSB Student Orientation was successfully conducted and proved relevant especially to new graduate students who were able to get acquainted with GSB policies, programs and activities.
