
PSBA Manila DRM Unit joined the Department of Science and Technology, National Capital Region (DOST-NCR) in celebrating the 19th Development Policy Research Month.
September 30, 2021 – The Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Unit, Graduate School of Business (GSB), Philippine School of Business Administration (PSBA), Manila, represented by Prof. Dr. Tabassam Raza, Director, DRM-Unit, joined the Department of Science and Technology, National Capital Region (DOST-NCR) in celebrating the 19th Development Policy Research Month, through a 2-day training titled “Development Policy Research: From Innovation to Policy Implementation” held via Zoom.
Anchored on the theme “Reset and Rebuild for a Better Philippines in the Post-Pandemic World”, the training featured institutional partners whose advocacies focus on well-founded crafting, evaluation, funding, and implementation of policy research aimed at enabling systemic changes through development planning and policymaking. Recognizing the importance of the academe to realize this goal, students, faculty members and researchers from higher education institutions in the overall process of policy research were also engaged.
Indeed, this activity greatly benefited the research program of DRM-Unit and other participating institutions and contributed to the enhancement of the nationwide awareness and appreciation of the importance of policy research in national development planning and policymaking. It also provided a platform for Prof. Dr. Raza to showcase the milestone researches, projects and other accomplishments of the Research Center of the GSB.
